    SAP FLOW SENSORS

The Dynagage Sap Flow Sensors are the latest technology for measuring the sap flow, and thus the water consumption of plants. These energy balance sensors measure the amount of heat carried by the sap which is converted into Real-Time sap flow in grams or kilograms per hour. The sensors are non-intrusive and not harmful since the plants are heated up 1°C to 5°C typically.
The need for this new technology is great because it is an affordable and practical way to measure the water use by plants of agricultural, economic and ecological importance.
     
 

HANDY-PEA

Handy-PEA is a compact, portable continuous-excitation type chlorophyll fluorescence analyser. The rugged yet lightweight design makes Handy-PEA particularly suitable for rapid, large scale screening of samples in the field or greenhouse in both research and teaching applications.

It utilises the continuous excitation fluorescence measurement principle. High time resolution (100KHz initial sampling rate) electronics and saturating levels of illumination (3000µmol m-2 s-1) permit accurate monitoring of the time dependent fluorescence induction kinetics observed when a sample is strongly illuminated after a period in darkness (Kautsky effect). Typical measurements take only 1 second, providing a very high throughput capability for large scale screening of samples.

PLANT MOISTURE STRESS MEASUREMENT

Plant moisture stress (PMS), or plant water potential, indicates the demand for water within a plant. PMS integrates the soil moisture tension in the rooting zone (the water supply), the resistance to water movement within the plant, and the demands for transpiration imposed by the environment (heat load, humidity, wind, etc.). Thus a PMS measurement indicates the water status of a plant from the "point of view of the plant". PMS also tells how the environment affects the plant. This information can be used to evaluate how much need the plant has for water or how well it is adapted to its environment.

     
 

DISSOLVED OXYGEN MEASUREMENT

The package for measuring dissolved O2 has featues included in no other polarographic O2 monitoring system. The O2 electrode within the water-jacketed cuvette may be used for measurements of O2 consumption (or production) by biological samples or exzymatic reactions. Various chamber volumes from 0.2ml to 50ml.

 
 

PHOTOSYNTHESIS YIELD ANALYSER

The Photosynthesis Yield Analyzer MINI-PAM specializes in the quick and reliable assessment of the effective quantum yield of photochemical energy conversion in photosynthesis. Its operation is very easy. For measurement of photosynthesis yield just one key has to be pressed (START). Then automatically the fluorescence yield (F) and the maximal yield (Fm) are measured, the photosynthesis yield (Y = ΔF/Fm) calculated, the obtained data displayed and stored internally for later analysis.

 

 

     
 

RANGE FINDERS / HYPSOMETERS

    SOIL MOISTURE MEASUREMENT

The PR2 Profile Probe is built around newly patented sensing technology* which provides unprecedented performance in all soil types, with minimal influence from either salinity or temperature. The PR2/4 model measures soil moisture at 4 depths down to 40cm or the PR2/6 measures at 6 depths down to 100cm.
The PR2 access tube requires an installation hole 27mm in diameter, allowing easy installation and minimal soil disturbance. Access tubes are manufactured to strict tolerances and are exceptionally strong and durable in the soil.
     
 

CHLOROPHYLL CONTENT METER

The new CCM-200 Chlorophyll Content Meter accurately determines chlorophyll content in plants and crops.
